Are you being paid what you’re worth, and if not, why?

Women are still not on par with men when it comes to their salaries, but globally, there are some obstacles that limit women from getting ahead financially.

One of the barriers for women is a lack of knowledge when it comes to negotiating a pay rise.

“Start to negotiate everywhere in your life,” says Liu Jing Jin in an episode of The Building Financial Fitness Podcast.

Ingrained cultural codes inform how women engage within the workforce. But when navigating a career and negotiating salary, some of those inherited ‘social norms’ can get in the way of women building their success.

In this episode of Mediacorp’s The Building Financial Fitness Podcast, Singapore host Junus Eu speaks to Liu Jing Jin, CEO & Founder of ZaZazu to discuss why women are often better at negotiating on behalf of a company than they are for themselves - including what it means to build self-confidence, and when to apply “positive aggression”.
