The New Zealand Radio Awards celebrate the very best of New Zealand radio, honouring personalities, programming, news and sports reporting, production and creativity within the industry.

The academy of judges, comprised of past and present broadcasters within New Zealand and overseas, are selected for their area of expertise and familiarity with each category.

Judging panels include a representative from NZME, MediaWorks, and where applicable, Radio New Zealand.

Launched in 1978, it aims to support and recognise excellence in New Zealand radio broadcasting with podcasting a recent addition to the platform.
