Freeing Kids from Anxiety

Kids increasingly feel anxious, stressed, and overwhelmed in the fast-paced world of 2024.

Mindful Mama coach and mum of three, Amy Taylor-Kabbaz, returns with a new season of Daytime Explorers — the sister series to the globally beloved and multi-award-winning Bedtime Explorers.

Perfect as an emotional reset any time of the day, each podcast episode invites little listeners to take a WALKING MEDITATION in their imagination. With each gentle step along a snowy path, in a leafy forest or along a sandy beach, children will gradually slow down and let go of their worries.

“Over each of the 10 meditation episodes, I aim to gently guide children to slow down, feel more calm and lower their anxiety, whenever they need to, wherever they are,” says Taylor-Kabbaz.

“The episodes are inspired by the Buddhist practice of walking meditation, and I wanted to adapt that to suit children. As we walk together through different 'audio' environments, the rhythm of steps allows children to relax and calm their thoughts and feelings. Hopefully, kids will then be able to use these tools anytime they need as an emotional reset – day or night.

“The world today is a fast-paced pressure cooker and while society has plenty of meditation options for adults, kids need meditations that are specifically designed for them. When you give kids tools to understand their thoughts and emotions, and to build resilience around feelings of anxiety and stress, they can use this toolkit for the rest of their lives,” she says.

The first episode of the new season of Daytime Explorers, called ‘Soft Snow’, is available free on LiSTNR here. The complete season can be heard ad free on Kinderling Premium via subscription on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and more.
