Calling all green thumbs - the popular gardening podcast, STIHL’s That’s How We Grow, hosted by award-winning landscape designer and popular television personality, Charlie Albone, is out now with a new season.
In the That’s How We Grow, Albone and STIHL welcome gardening experts and enthusiasts to talk about the best gardening techniques, power tools and overall garden tips. If your thumb is green, your garden vast and your to-do list is never ending, this podcast is for you!
Each episode features an enthusiastic or expert gardener who will cover must-have products and game-changing tips to achieve the perfect garden, lawn, veggie patch and everything in between, providing practical advice for gardeners to tackle their next garden project.
With eight new episodes in the upcoming season, Albone will be joined by chef Curtis Stone, and media personalities Deborah Hutton and Larry Emdur who share their love of gardening.
Albone spent 13 years hosting Foxtel’s longest running series, Selling Houses Australia before joining the Seven Network’s Better Homes and Gardens as co-host with Johanna Griggs and Dr Harry Cooper.
For the last two decadesy, Albone has worked in Australia and abroad winning two Silver Gilt medals for his designs at the world’s most prestigious flower show, and favourite of the British Royal Family, The Chelsea Flower Show in the UK. He also won the prestigious City of Melbourne Award of Excellence for Best in Show at the 2023 Melbourne International Flower & Garden Show. A keen interest in using sustainable materials (where possible), Albone encourages ‘homegrown’ subsistence living.
“If you’re a professional gardener or somebody who potters in the yard on the weekend, you’ll learn something in every episode. It's great fun speaking with incredible experts who love to share their knowledge,” Albone says of the latest season.
